Escape RX question

Hello all. I was looking at the Escape RX specs and I am not familiar with the components. They are listed as R460 and R350. I googled and didn't really learn much. Where do these components fit into the Shimano hierarchy? TIA!

I thought a general guide was the preceding number ie. 7 Dura-ace, 6 Ultegra, 5 105, 4 Tiagra, 3 Sora .....

Those you are quoting are Non-series but you can still see the equivalent pattern

OK Thank you. That would indicate that all of the components are some sort of Sora which is the lowest level of road components? I would have expected better components on a bike with that price.

Take a look at the parts on the $1550.00 Escape RX Composite.... yes they are the same ones! I felt Giant cheapened up the components for this year. I mean what do you think the cost difference .... to Giant in large volume between Sora and at least Tiagra or 105s. I purchased a couple of Escape RX 0's last year. They retailed for $1275 and came with a 105 drive train. So this year I moved up to the composite version but swapped out the components.... Good luck on your bike selection but I have to agree that Giant missed the boat on this..... guess the bean counters win again.

Components chosen are part of the total price , want to pay a lot more the components further up the pecking order can be included ..

posh frame ? want better components , ask they be fitted,

cost will be retail , but some credit for what came off since the other ones can be used in repairs..
