Giant Escape 0....gone for 2015.

The Giant Escape 0, a bike on my short list, is being discontinued for 2015 according to my local Giant shop. So, I assume, if you want to jump up from the Escape 1, you will need to get the RX.

The 2014 Escape 0 can still be ordered by my LBS as his distributor has 4 left in stock. The spec sheet I looked at for the Escape 1 shows little change from 2014.

The only place I could find information on 2015 Giant Escapes was several British bike shops I found thriugh Google.

Forget my previous post....I made a mistake as I was researching both 2015 Giant Escapes and 2015 Trek FX's.

The information on the 2015 Escapes I got from my Giant LBS who was taking it off their computer. When I got home I tried to locate the information online and came up empty. The LBS is getting 2015's in now and will have a 2015 Escape 1 ready for me to try on Monday. I have previously tested 3 other Escapes but not one with the carbon fork like the Escape 1.

I am really surprised, that Giant didn't include Escape Disc models in 15 --- My LBS says they sell disc Sirrus 2 to 1 over rim brake models...............

I'm not surprised by that at all.

I think Trek has made a mistake in having the highest specc'd bike in their FX range, to only be the 7.4.

AND.....if you want the 7.4 with the disc, you have to do without the carbon fork.

Good point.

Of the big three, clearly Specialized are the leaders in providing disc brakes on their hybrid bikes to regular folk.
