I got my first hybrid bike the other day a trek 7.2 fx with kevlar wheels. I bought it used for 300$. due to the higher end range of bike compared to the rest on campus I spray painted it flat moss green (i'm also going to use it as my small game hunting mobile) and invested in good locks, first day on campus it was fine and I noticed it was a better bike but worse looking than the other 3 bikes on campus and better locked so odds seem in my favor. the bike rides my local trails like a dream, a little bit of hand going numb on bumpy parts but overall really comfortable.
