Frame compatibility Specialize crosstrail

Hi everybody !

I'm a "New" rider. Indeed, I am restarting the bike after few years without.

I just bought a second hand Specialize Crosstrail.
I dont know the year but the guy told me 2012/2013.

It was really cheap because of the frame... So now I need to change it. And it's really hard to find the same. So my question is simple (I hope..) :

Why what kind of frame can I change mine ?

Except the frame everything is ok on this bike. So I want to use the old parts.

In advance thanks to everyone for your help or your advices.

Good afternoon.

What's the issue with the frame?

The only way you're going to find another one is by finding another used or NOS Crosstrail;Specialized doesn't sell just the frames. You can go aftermarket, but you're going to spend at least $500+ on a decent frame.

Some frames can be very specific or really general. If you find a frame that fits you, you can build a bike around that frame. Ebay has a good selection of frames, often from china. I know the have alot of carbon knock off frames and components, maybe try one. I would be guessing by saying that those frames will last, some can be good others trash.
