Is it possible to transfer components from smaller bike to larger new bike?

I 'm thinking of 55 cm and 56 com bike frames, similar except ETT, head tube height and wheel base. If I wanted to go up a size, could I take the 55 cm components and use them on the 56 cm frame?

If you are talking seats, rear derailleurs, shifters, grips, etc. then definitely. If the bikes are different models, they may have different seat post diameters, handlebar diameters, front derailleur attachments, etc. that you can't just bolt on.
