sequoia elite frame vs trek fx+ frame

My current ride is a flat bar converted sequoia elite, but i recently acquired the frame from a friend's fried trek e-bike. Both have are aluminum and both have carbon forks. Other than that i have no clue. Given the choice what would you use to build a mostly pavement use hybrid out of? And why? I'm a small guy so lighter is better... but I'm not sure about geometry differences. The specialized is pretty harsh despite the ZERTS gimmick.

I'm surprised you say that about Zerts. I find that it really nullifies the buzz, especially with carbon forks and seat post.

Maybe it's my previous experience with cheap steel frame bikes. The sequoia is my first aluminum bike and compared to my last 1970s era road bike (years ago) the specialized is a real tooth rattler.

The Trek will probably take wider tires(pics or links for both frames would help),which would allow it to ride smoother. How wide of tires are you running on the Spec?

Also, which frame fits you better? That's really the determining factor.
