Strange sound when peddling.

I just got a new bike couple of months ago. Now, when I pedal, on the left foot if i put a little pressure there is a clicking sound. feels like coming from the joint of the pedal and frame. and its quiet loud. bit annoying

I made a sound recording if you are interested to hear and suggest what may went wrong..
Sound file here

A similar tick drove nearly bonkers a few years ago. It turned out to be my pedal.

Remove your pedals, apply a dab of grease to the thread, then reattach.
