My First Hybrid !! 21 years old.
Encountered an utterly marvellous older bike earlier today - what I suspect is the 1993 tall frame version of the Giant Innova.
It took a while to find a picture of a vintage Giant DB chrome-moly steel Innova with a perfectly horizontal top tube but the Altus A20 / C10 group description is a perfect match. Chainrings a respectable 28/38/48 and look new. 7-speed block, 13 to 30 teeth.
Frame is 60cm (23.5 inches) and the bike rides beautifully. Still has all original Shimano Altus A20 Rapidfire Plus parts and shifts like a champ. I can't help wondering if it would make a decent touring bike with drop bars and the right tires...
My Thanksgiving surprise.

Damned if I know.... I just got it yesterday around noon ... and then did the Canadian Thanksgiving thing with The Wrinklies yesterday evening... and it is raining today.
So I've only been around the block with it.
The only thing I can compare it to are the other bikes I ride regularly, a 59cm 1989 Trek 830 and a 64cm Steve Bauer racer - which both have nice tall frames.
The long seat stays increase the distance between my ass and the bottom bracket.

I really like bikes from that era. They hadn't gotten into counting beans as much, so you could get a decent set of components
Probably has a Uni Glide hub that may be compatible w/ Hyper Glide cassettes in case you want to make a gear change.
The Femco rims tend to be a bit on the heavy side.

I have a few bits 'n' pieces around the house and suspect that I will not have any problem finding enough spares to do any amount of customizing.
I am really not a fan of the Altus A20 Rapidfire stuff.
But at this point I'm just wondering.

Great find
That's an excellent bike that you can enjoy as is or modify to your preference. A swap to linear pull brakes would be simple because you have the rear-facing cable stop. I've never liked trigger shifters and have long been a GripShift partisan, though the former seem to dominate the new-bike market these days.
