TACX Flow review
With commuting this winter not happening due to the pandemic I turned my sights on adding indoor biking to the improvised gym in our former family room.
Did some research on smart trainers and settled on the Flow. I needed a dual setup for the wife and this was a good bang for the buck. I was able to purchase both units for $600 through bikesdirect. They have a point system, so I used the points to get two training tires for a total of $8. The systems were easy to install and everything was up and running in about an hour. Pairing to the phones was seamless and I logged into the TACX training app for a free 30 day trial. First impressions are the units work great with the software. It is like riding a roller coaster on certain courses. Really enjoying the coastal and city routes. Where else can you ride through Barcelona, Rome and Florence in the same week. The opponents feature is really a neat feature. I can create my own group rides by selecting riders from the database in my average range. Between that and the beautiful video of the ride my mind is kept pretty stimulated. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...2705d0cca5.jpg |
Very nice, I bought two of the Tacx Vortex trainers, which are similar to the flow, with one for me and one for my daughter. I did try out the training app and thought it was neat but ended up doing zwift instead. I need to get up and ride soon...
