Group workout with Rouvy
Hello,
I am currently on Zwift, but I wanted to make the jump to Rouvy.
I wanted to know first if it is possible to create group workouts with friends?
So import workouts into Rouvy and then invite friends into that workout all at the same time.
Does it have a function like keep everyone together as well?
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

You can do both of these things in Rouvy--ride as a group and/or do a group workout. I've only done a group ride, though. You can't chat through Rouvy, though, so people will setup a separate Zoom or Discord if they want to talk with their team. Some people don't want outsiders crashing their group rides so you can setup a password for the ride so only your friends can join.
During a group ride, there's a "rubber band" that keeps the group together around the ride leader. Anyone behind the leader gets a "boost" to stay several seconds behind the leader. You can't get dropped on a group ride. The closer you are behind the leader, the smaller your boost. People in front of the leader experience more drag to keep them from going off the front. I don't know if this is done artificially or if the application applies more resistance to the trainer.
There's a fairly active Rouvy FB group that talks about all this ad nauseam (basically, stay behind your ride leader), and the online Rouvy help explains this, too.

Just had an answer from Rouvy:
Group workouts are not possible at the moment. We are sorry about it. This feature should be available in the future but, currently we can not promise when it will be implemented.

there are a couple of things that advertise on their website that are not ready yet. seems a bit funny to talk about it and not just have it. maybe to keep customers, maybe to attract new ones?

My mistake about the group workout. This is how it's currently being done on Rouvy (from Rouvy FB site).
Basically everyone clicks start at the same time and they chat through Discord while it's happening. I guess it's working OK this way since I've seen a couple posts about it now.
...• We will start with a short talk first then hit START WORKOUT together• Once app loads, we will hit START WORKOUT at same time.DISCORD link: We will give it a try
