Man in the middle box?
Does anyone know of someone who makes a man in the middle box to go between the USB port on the PC and your ANT+ stick? Thanks

Can't say I've heard that term before, but do you mean a USB extension cable perhaps? I picked up mine on eBay. A two or three metre cable should suffice.

"man in the middle box" implies some kind of processing to me.

Main in Middle
"Man in the Middle" usually refers to a hack/attack involving reprocessing or accessing data before passing it along to it's intended designation.
Often used to break encryption in order to recover data you're not supposed to have access to, or cheat when playing a game.
I can't believe the OP is attempting to alter Zwift data, so I must have gone off on the wrong tangent.

It does probably imply a nefarious purpose. You don't really need a box to sniff trainer data, just some kind of sniffer.
Not sure if you can do it internal to the pc with wireshark.

WireShark
WireShark reads data, but won't edit/modify on the fly.

Someone at work asked me to make something like this. He claimed that he had a hard time zwifting with a 1x mtn bike and needed to alter the resistance. Pretty easy to do really. Sounded like cheating to me though.

i'm so tempted to answer this in detail but really don't want to put any ideas in anyone's head. it can be done on a single computer.

All he needed to do was put in a lower rider weight in Zwift.
