Radical idea? Well before I would jeopardize a valued relationship with a longstanding business partner, I'd want to know a little bit more about the person who was asking. Just saying, you made an important step in saying hello. Now let's talk bikes. I'll bet you have an opinion about disc brakes on road bikes? You're on board? Right?

welcome to the forum. Not sure you helped your case by mentioning you were from Houston.
Are you doing the crit next month, or the memorial park series this summer?

I imagine you're not wanting to discuss your radical new idea without any patent protection???? But it is hard to get anonymous suggestions without knowing what you're seeking.
You could prove your idea in a race, but then the cat's out of the bag. You can start the process of a patent.
I'm doubting that a company like Trek or Cannondale would make any huge leaps in their product line unless it is something truly revolutionary.
I'd suggest finding a small to moderate sized local builder and working with them on the idea.
