Greeting from Hertfordshire, UK

Hi forum

I'm revisiting cycling after a 30 year break. I am old and busted up but bought a new bike three months ago. My wife is now a bike widow, my kids avoid me. I spend my time tarting around with stems, tyres and buying stuff I don't really need, like mini pumps and lube. It's how it is.

Phil

What kind of bike did you buy?

i got a jamis allegro. I swapped the 32 tyres for 28s. Bought new pedals and flipped my stem, just to try it out. My son has a boardman comp hybrid which is a good unit, bit lighter, lower, better spec I think. He's away at university, will leave it at home this semester .. So I will compare and contrast, etc.

ha! I see your point. Right now I'm dabbling with what I thought, at one time, were fripperies; but in reality, stuff that has been pretty good. For example, I got some zefal half toe clips. Really good.
