Hello from Austin TX

I'm Bob. 68, vet, BA '72 TTU, Several bikes for different purposes. Got 25 miles yesterday visiting a friend. Do that sort of thing two or three times a week. Someone told me that you should pick your age when you retired. I chose sixteen. I would describe myself as an urban cyclist and I have learned and shared many ins and outs of Austin street geography. I did spend some time in the industry in the 70s working in a small factory at Romic Cycles and in a retail store as well. I wear a helmet and use bike paths and lanes as well as the streets to get around, but I wouldn't dream of telling you what to wear or how to ride using a law. More later, I guess.

I live in NE Austin, but Barton Creek is still there though the flow is much reduced this year. I use the South Walnut Creek Trail a lot to go South from my home just off Johnny Morris and 290E.

Is it true that the original or formal name of your city is Ciudad de Maria, Reyna de los Angeles?
