Hey hey I'm new here!

Just sayin' Hi for the first time. Thought this seemed like a good place to explore different ideas for bike setups, etc. I've been an avid mountain biker since 1992, but in he last couple of years have found myself strongly drawn to the 700c do-it-all randonnier type bicycle and have come to appreciate the ideology of Rivendell Bicycles, although I'm far too poor to afford one! The bike I'm loving to ride the most now is a Surly Cross-Check set up 1x9 and outfitted with a leather spring saddle, fenders and rear rack... reminiscent of the old Raleigh 3-speeds from England. I live in the Rockies and ride year around, sometimes I really enjoy riding when it's below zero, but I have to admit, I really look forward to springtime coming around each year! I'd post a pic of my ride/rides, but I'm really not sure how to make that happen on my iPad yet... Any hints or direction on that would be welcomed. Best wishes and happy riding!
