Newbie here from the UK, please be gentle :)

Hi guys, just a brief intro before I search the site to see what you are all up to, and also to find out some info on these bikes-

My Dad has a 1953(ish) Raleigh All Steel racing bike he has had from new.

My girlfriend has a Puch Picnic that I rescued from the local tip last year for 5

I have a 1984 Kalkhoff Tristar 10spd racer I bought new for 105. It may not seem much money but it was 6 months wages for me as a paper boy This was stored away in July 1986 when I passed my driving test, I found it easier to drive than pedal

My current ride I have had for about 5 years, it is a Raleigh Universal fold up bike, I purchased it cheaply from a little old lady who had tartan shopping bags on the front and back I soon removed these and heavily modified the frame to how I wanted it

The original single speed steel wheel was junked, and then fitted front and back with 20 inch mountain bike alloy wheels, 5 speed derailleur, an oval front sprocket welded on to the crank, mountain bike brake bosses welded on to the forks and seat stays, different seat, wider handlebars, nicer grips, brake levers, different mudguards, pedals, jag wire cable set, two brackets welded on to the left rear for mounting the different trailers that I tugged about, and last week I stripped it, had it bead blasted and powder coated orange and black to match the Chariot Carriers Sidecarrier that goes on the side for my dog to ride in.

Currently looking for new toys for it, such as wireless speedo/trip computer, a rechargeable front light, or even a decent solar powered light, so I will be spending some time searching through the site looking for info

Well that's me

Cheers, welcome to BF!

To err is human. To moo is bovine.

Who is this General Failure anyway, and why is he reading my drive?
