Old 3 speed freak from Dublin
Hi Folks,
This site seems to be the best place to get info about a bug that has bitten me pretty badly lately.
The Raleigh 3 Speed bug to be precise.
Wanted to buy a 'beater' bike that I wouldn't mind getting stolen.
Ended up getting a 75 Raleigh 3 speed, AW hub, Dublin built bicycle (think its a Sports), blue and rusty but with a solid frame, Dynohub up front (still working).
Now all I need to do is figure out what tools I need to get this thing back up and running. I'm pretty sure this has progressed well past logical for a bike as beat up as this.
Anyhoo, I'd be grateful if there were any other Irish / Dublin folk that might be able to steer me in the right direction locally. The wealth of cheap tools and cheap parts available to my American brethren don't appear to be an Irish phoenomenon at all.
Here is a pic of the demon velocipede.
Cheers,
Casey 76
