Hello from Tennessee
Newb here. Near daily rider here. Started riding about a year and a half ago as a way to lose weight and that effort continues. Had some luck early, got busy, hot and lazy, so I stopped. Got back in gear after upgrading my commuter from an 8 speed Sun beach cruiser to my current Ride. Since getting back on my bicycle, I've dropped 40 pounds. Sweet!
I absolutely love riding my bike. Not a weight weenie, a little on the frugal side. Raleigh Misceo 2.0 is my daily commuter. Have added fenders, touring rack, Ergons and flip-flop city/spd pedals to it.
My weekender is an 80s (I think an '86 or '87) Bianchi Strada LX that I picked up for $150. Steel/Chromoly, downtube shifters, red bar tape and trim, nothing added. Occasionally pull the pedals off my Raleigh and stick them on the Bianchi, but that's about it. No frills, just fun.
