Hello from Toronto
Hello from T.O. I ride primarily to get around the city and recently stumbled upon Bike Forums while scouring kijiji and craigslist for second bike to covert into a commuter and every question I had for google (quality, components, conversions etc.) seemed to lead me here. So figured I should join. Currently I have an older Peugeot (Success, Shimano RX100, biopace...that's the extent of my knowledge).
Looking forward to scouring the forums to learn a little more. Cheers!

Welcome. I'm in the burbs now, but used to ride all over Toronto. High Park, Humber Valley, the waterfront trail, all great rides.
The downside is that because cycling is very popular, prices on used bikes in Toronto are high.
You can learn a lot here.

I just noticed these replies, sorry! I must not have turned on notifications. Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I've been a constant reader of the vintage section since obed7.
JamesRL - I now definitely get what you mean about the prices in Toronto. Very hard to find something to learn on for a reasonable price! I guess that's all relative though. (Also, the waterfront trail is great, didn't know about the Leslie Street Spit until moving east of Yonge and riding by it!)
