Hello, From Portland Oregon
I've recently gotten back into cycling, i haven't ridden much since high school which was about six years ago. As such my old schwinn is falling apart! It's also too small for me, which is frustrating. It has also become my primary mode of transportation. Living in portland i can get almost anywhere on my bike and it saves a lot of money. i joined this forum for a few reasons, mostly i want to learn more about bike maintenance, i have a background in automotive tech but bikes are so different from cars. I am honestly not sure what year and model my old schwinn is, i think it's from the early 70's but beyond that i am not sure of much other than the handlebars are bent, the grip tape is falling off, the brake handles were loose and it was otherwise in a state of disrepair. i wrecked it more than a few times in high school. . . my first priority was to get it safe enough to ride which i have done beyond that it needs more work than i know how to give. it is soooo heavy!
