Hello from central Californa
Hello everyone!! I purchased my new Trek FX 7.4 Hybrid 2 weeks ago. I've taken it out several times now and I have the riding bug. Unfortunately, my asthma has decided to show up and prevent me from riding for a short time. In the meantime, I'm reading up on everything from gear to clothes. I plan on riding the Granfondo in Tehachapi, Ca this Sept. My son has also started riding with me which is some great bonding time for us.
I presently am just using my phone app (Strava) to log my rides. Is it that much better to get something like a Garmin? Enjoy your day everyone and I look forward to being a positive contributor to this site. Thanks, Tim

Welcome Tim.
I use Strava. It works well for what I want. How far did I go, and how long did it take?

I just started to ride 2 weeks ago. My longest ride was 12 miles and I felt good at the finish. I want to try 15 or 20 miles next.
