golf 300
Hi fellow bikers! I am fairly new to the sport really enjoy riding. I am a teacher and coach from Grayslake Illinois. I am currently own a Schwinn Cimarron. I have just bought a new Schwinn Trailway. I ride in the summers and this gets me in shape for the next semester. I used to be a PGA golf professional but too much sun sent me to the dermatologist. Now I have to go out with sun protection everywhere. But I love doing it. Mostly village paths and forest preserves trails, nothing competitive or too serious.

Hi Golf. I'm not sure I'm qualified to officially welcome you since I just joined myself, but welcome anyway...

Welcome!
Seems you have the same riding type that I do. I love scenic trails and on dedicated rides that's what I like to do most!
I don't think that's an issue. :-) I am new to this forum myself! :-D

GZ…I ride both road and mountain. Around this part of NC you can find great riding with either choice. I really like the new dedicated mtb trails they opened up last year at the local state park (Paddys Creek area of Lake James State Park). There are two easier trails and two that are called "intermediate". All are fun to ride and can be enjoyed at any pace you care to ride.
