Greeting from LA (Lower Alabama)
Been riding all my life. I was into mountain biking for many years, but abandoned it for the road about 10 years ago. Recently purchased an 86 Bianchi sport sx...wanna learn more about working on these older bikes. When I originally had one of these, my dad did all the work...cause I was 12.

Dude! Come back to the dark side, sooo many good mountain bike trails around now. Depending on where in LA you are there's two trails in Mobile, Swayback in Wetumpka, Oak Mountain in B'ham and my favorite Coldwater in Anniston.

I am originally from Montgomery, but now live in Tuscaloosa, which I suppose is technically MA.
I do still have my Cannondale F500...perhaps I could tune it up and get back out there on the trails.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello to the locals.
The folks in the Bicycle Mechanics forum and the C&V forum may be able to give you some help. Good luck.

Yeah, I have already hit up the mechanics forum for a brake issue. My issue is now resolved. I'll definitely stop by the Southeast subforum!

Two very good trails in your area are the one Lake Lurleen and the the one at Tannehill State Park. Tannehill is flow city, very fast trail.
