Hi from Seattle
Good day, all - I've just joined up, as I have started commuting by bicycle for the first time. As a 45 year old male, I spent countless hours on my BMX bikes and mountain bike, up until I moved to Seattle 25 years ago and got a car, then transitioned to motorcycle commuting (8 years and counting daily on two wheels). I received a hybrid bike from my dad about 6-7 years ago and decided recently to take up commuting. Starting small (literally, my hybrid is 7 cm too small for me), growing into a daily. 17 miles each direction three days a week for now.
So, on with the boiler plate:
Where are you from? Seattle, WA.
What do you ride? Trek 7300FX, graduating to a used Novara Element as soon as I get it tuned up.
How long have you been riding? Since forever, then a break. Week two/day three of commuting by bicycle as of today.
Anything else we should know about you? I race, repair, ride, and generally muck about on motorcycles, any kind. Fast, slow, big, small, whatever. Two wheels and a motor was my motto until just last week. Now I'm good with anything two wheels, regardless of propulsion.
