Hello from Boston

Hi everyone. I'm Rick and live in the Boston area. I'm currently restoring a 72 Raleigh Super Course and picked up a lot of info on that bike here. I'm still in the painting process-- I stripped it to bare metal as it was in rough shape. Hope to get a few rides on it this year.

Welcome to Bike Forums, rickrob!

I used to own a 72 SC. What color are you painting yours?

I'm painting it a medium blue metallic with white panels/stripes on the seat tube and down tube like a 74. I've been slowly acquiring parts for it as well.

Welcome.

I too have a Nottingham bike from 72, only in the form of a very rough Triumph. I'm yet to indulge in the joy of rebuilding the AW hub, and probably for the better right now, but it presents a very appealing challenge for some point in the future.

This place is going to produce some serious cycle envy, I think.
