Hello! New to bike commuting

Hello! After 3 years of telling myself I want to, I'm finally going to start bike commuting to work in upstate NY. Already appreciating all the tips and tricks I've read here!

Thanks! Currently I'm riding a cheapy 2008 Schwinn Ranger. It's nothing special but it gets me riding. I'm actually fixing up a 1970's-ish Giuseppe Bianchi road bike that my dad gave to me. I'm pretty excited to get that on the road. It may actually be rideable as early as tomorrow.
