Hi! all from Western Pa.

Just got back into biking this summer after a bout with the big C. trying to get back into shape from all of the treatments (worse then the sickness!!) I live less than a mile from the Montour trail so most of my riding is on the many Rails to Trails around the Pittsburgh area. I have also been picking up bikes from anywhere I can find them (mostly trash pick up and some people have donated) repairing ect. then trying to find homes for them were kids or adults will use them. That in its self can be a real task these days as the young people would rather stare at there phones than anything else! So far I have rebuilt 14 and put 7 into the hands of hopefully future BIKERS, It just seems like such a waste to leave them go to the landfill when most only need a good cleaning and tune up or sometimes nothing but air in the tires!!

I'll probably spend most of my time on the forum learning about the mechanical side of things. I have been a race car/hot rod builder by trade for most of my adult life so the mechanics of a bicycle seem pretty basic but like anything else there are tricks of the trade that need to be learned and many specialized tools to be had to make things simpler.

Looking forward to being a member of the Forum Jeff Little McMurray Pa. 15317

Hello Jeff, excellent job of re"cycling"! My wife and I were in your area(I think..)just this past weekend; Blairsville, PA. Great riding potential out in western PA. Enjoy.
