Hi there, humans!
Started riding again just a couple of years ago after a long break. Way too long. What was I thinking? I'm no bicycle whisperer, just started bike commuting to work and it was a total game changer.
My commute to work in Brooklyn was taking twice as long via regular transportation so I thought I’ll give it a try. I bought the cheapest and cutest bike I could find that delivers to your door. It took me about 15 min to complete my order. Was it a good choice? Let me tell you, the best choice ever.
What I learned is - You don’t need to cycle like a pro to enjoy the benefits of cycling. That fixie beach cruiser with a sweet little basket, changed my life
Not only did I cut my commute time, but I became a happier person. You know how the way you feel in the morning sets up the vibe for your whole day. Well, no matter how you wake up, getting on your bike in the morning will always boost your day. It’s biochemistry, it cannot not work. I guess you guys know all about this
For this happiness factor and the fact that bicycle gives you a tremendous sense of independence and freedom, I became a cycling advocate for life. In fact, I founded a co-op Bikes&Humans that fosters the cycling subculture and sells cycling related products for the "99%" of cyclists - bikesandhumans.com. I'm not here to spam people though, no worries
Anyhow, looking forward to learning more about you guys!
Love,
Kate of Bikes&Humans
