Hello from Spokane Valley, Washington!

My wife and I both through necessity fell into bicycling for general transportation and cargo hauling last year due to finances. I had last summer a Trek 820 MTB (Miranda had a matching bike) with a Schwinn InStep kid carrier trailer converted to flat bed that suited us all year, sometimes carrying 200+lbs lol. I'm really getting interested in tricycles, either traditional (price constraints) or tadpole for utility/towing/daily transport.

My thoughts are telling me that perhaps a Schwinn Meridian later fixed with a chain drive rear diff from like a Kymco or similar 4 wheeler...well, I gotta find the tinker threads lol. Lots of ideas, over here.

Nice to meet you!

Hi everyone,

My friend and me both enjoy cycling for fun and he convinced me that I needed a new town bike. I have a Cannondale V700 that I bought back in '98. I ended up with a 1986 Harry Quinn with a full 1st generation Campagnolo Chorus group set, thumbies and straight bars, white San Marco saddle, Campagnolo hubs and Rims. He repainted it for me and it's absolutely beautiful, though I say so myself. Lovely to ride, too. It is now our intention to build up a small collection of classic bikes for a hobby (this was decided upon 9 months ago, after a few beers) and we already have a few interesting bikes. I just wanted to touch base with like-minded folk and gain more knowledge and share what little I have.

thanks

Thanks you for the welcome. Interesting recumbent you have there. I've never been on one, I must try one day.
