Cycling in Japan

Hi, I'm a new member, and just posted a comment on the Antares brand of bicycles, which are actually the inhouse brand for Japan's largest road bikes seller, called Y's Road.

Anyway, personally I've lived in Japan 32 years and recently started an inbound travel site, called japantravel, and am starting a multi-day road cycling business. Japan is really a cycling heaven, in that the roads are great, outside the cities the traffic is minimal, drivers are courteous, you've got lots of mountains and coastline to look at, and of course wonderful onsen to stay at, at the end of each day.

Myself, I used to have a Felt Z3, which was a really nice bike and easy to transport around. Unfortunately a professional bike gang stole it late last year. Now I have a German Rose carbon bike, which also has Ultegra components, but is more of a pain to transport around, since it continually needs readjustment when I rebuild it each time. Such is life.

I'm interested in hearing from members interested in coming to Japan to cycle, about what you see as problems/hurdles, and things you'd really like to see. I'm also happy to receive questions from people who simply want to know how to get things done as a cyclist in Japan.
