New to riding from Tampa Bay Area

Hello Everyone,

Ive rode walmart bikes for quite sometime and decided to finally get a real bike. I purchased a Giant Escape 2 yesterday. I only got to ride if for about 30 mins before it got too dark. Super excited to get out and ride it today on a trail. I live right next to the Tamp Bay Trail, its only 5.6mi but enough for a feel on the bike. Only thing is the seat is super hard, hopefully I can adjust to it.

It went amazing! Pretty much while I am at work I am day dreaming about leaving and hit the trail lol. Id like to get a good 30-40 mile ride. Currently only rode about 4 miles.

Soon the UTB trail will connect all the way up to Suncoast Trail (if it isn't already). There will be more than 30-40 miles available to you there :)

I'll try to wave if I see a Giant Escape out there :)

They started building the connection but it has been delayed due to lawsuits, typical eh? To my knowledge 1/2 of it is built and currently under construction. You can ride the UTB Trail all the way out then take a few roads to hop on the SC Trail. I have the Bronze colored edition, XL frame. So if you see a big goofy 6'3 guy riding around on one say hi! ;)
