Hi - New to BikeForums
Hi,
Just joined BikeForums so by way of brief intro, I’m in my mid 40’s based in the UK and looking to get back into the world of cycling after 'quite a few years out' – hopefully through a combination of both road and mountain biking and as something to do together with my children.
What got me back into it is that I recently re-discovered my 30 year old Raleigh road / racing bike from the early-mid 1980’s in my parents loft. I transported it home (half way across the country), completely stripped it down and am in the process of an extensive overhaul to get back into full working order – and maybe to allow me to re-live my youth! A great little hobby which helps to relieve the stress of the day job!
Came across the forum looking to try and solve a particular issue with an early model Shimano Uniglide freehub – i.e. how to get the thing off the rear wheel/hub!
Thanks to all those who have taken the time to post and who have helped me out.
Cheers.

Very cool. Have fun with the build. These forums are a wonderful database for your every question. Hopefully you find them as resourceful as I do. Make sure to start a thread of your re-build with plenty of pics in the Vintage and Classic forum!
