Hello from Lyon

Hi, new member here !

I'm 27 and I live in Lyon (France)

I have a soft spot for older bicycles. Especially road bikes with downtube shifters + aero brakes and rigid MTBs. And steel frames.

I registered to show my "new" bike and ask questions about it (an old Concorde MTB,
I like to know a bit about bicycle culture, the year a specific model was made, etc. and the internet helps me a lot on this quest. But I have absolutely no info on this bike o_o

I ride (no particular order) :

[Daily Commuting] - Decathlon Cobra 540 (early 90's)
Stock, size 56 cm, light grey with blue decals. Super cheap but very nice to ride. It's fast, 2x6 SRAM indexed friction shifters. Never had a single mechanical problem in 3 years of commuting and very little maintenance.
It's ugly and keeps thieves avay.
But I crashed recently (on a rainy day a car didn't see me and cut my way in a crossroad) and I don't feel as confident as before when riding it (the fork as been damaged and it slighty drives to the left when using the rear brake).
I'll have to consider an upgrade. Soon.

[Road biking] Look Aeroblade 860 (1995)
I was having a full Shimano 600 ultegra set (tricolore, brifters, 2x8), with Rigida DP18 wheels, and finally got this frame to make my build !
56cm, monobloc carbon frame (blue and black). This frame is not known very much (it's the version before the KG 286 came out).
I use clip pedals on this one and only use it when I feel really sporty !

[Relaxed road biking] Peugeot PBN 10 (~1981)
Kind of "light olive" green with yellow decals, 1981 model, 103 carbo tubing (yeah entry level I know) size 57cm, heavily modified with 90's parts.
Only the frame and the bars are original. The fork is a chromed Reynolds 531 (changed after a crash), indexed 3x7 Shimano RX100 group (remplacement of 10 speed simplex), rigida DP18 CSB, double sided pedal (flat on one side, clip on the other), a shorter 3TTT quill, ... It was my commuting bike but I've spent so much time cleaning and repairing and upgrading it that I don't feel like using it everyday now. I love the color and the overall look of this build.

[MTB] Decathlon rockrider 520 (1998)
Size L, kind of "copper/brick" color. Tektro vbrakes, 3x8 shimano STX, rigid fork, adjustable stem.
I love it. It's obsolete from a performance point of view, but so easy and fun to ride.
I've had several MTB with suspensions and always prefered the simplicity and lightness of this one.

[Trial] Megamo 20" (old steel frame, vbrakes) and Onza zoot 24" (aluminium frame, vbrakes).
I'm no trial rider but I really like to practice it.
I would recommend anytime to buy a cheapo trial bicycle (picked up my Megamo for 90€ in a fully usable shape).
Even if (let's be honest) you won't become Danny MacAskill, you will improve in bike control and it's lots of fun !

I don't have decent photos, but will post some when I'll have the time to make a few shots !

Welcome to the forum. You have a nice bike collection. I was in Lyon this past September and really enjoyed it. It appeared to be a bike friendly city.
