New to Biking?

Hi, I want to get into biking to lose weight and go places. I got an old road bike from my brother, but it's been out all winter. What should I do? It rides fine, but the rear brake doesn't work very well. Any tips?

Well, you could pay 60 bucks and have a local bike shop do a general service for you. They could then tell you what parts you may need (then you can choose to buy them or not).

I would just clean the bike up a bit, try to fix the brake if possible, and ride it!
