Newbie oldbie
Hi all just posting a short intro. Been cycling since I was a kid, used to cycle with the old man when he was racing and have always had bikes since. Trying to get into a bit of organised stuff like sportives to get fit again and as part of my attempt to stop smoking. I love steel bikes, but have a cheap alu at the moment which I'm thinking of trading in for a vintage steel. I've registered for the wicklow 200 and that's the goal for now.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Good luck with the ride in June. Stop by the UK subforum and the Europe subforum to meet local folks.

Thanks obed7, I'm trying to, but there seems to be a lot more to cycling than I remember in the past, choices..... Lots of them, can get a bit bogged down in specs, weight, geometry etc.

Thanks Van I've been looking all over the net to get some info on some vintage bikes, Vincini and Menet, Italian and Belgian bikes. But haven't found much to go on. I'll put it up on Retrobike see if anyone has any info.
