New trainee

Hi, I'm re-new to biking, in that I have t done it in years, need a new bike, but want to do a 25 mile hilly ride for charity in July. I'd love some training tips, suggestions for my horrid knees, and a good indoor cycling regime. Right now, I'm using Couch to 25 miles.
