Hey new ride
Hey everyone. I'm nate I'm from northern wi and just bought a 07 schwinn fastback sport for 75 bucks. Only thing is has different crap wheels on it, a 6 speed cassette, no brifters( bar ends) and different derailleurs. Gonna put new tires, tape, and pedals on. Looked at converting back to STI with the other stuff I'm getting and was over 300$. I'll just upgrade in a bit. I came from mtn biking and my longest ride was 50 miles. Looking to beat that this year and happy to join the road riders. If any suggestion on an upgrade ( really would like a btwin but no overseas shipping) please let me know. Just wanted to say hi andjoin the forums

It's weird that someone put barcons and a 6 speed wheel on there. I'm guessing that something happened to the rear wheel and the bike was made useable again using parts that were on hand. That bike originally came with a mix of Sora and Tiagra components. You should be able to find a used parts group on eBay to replace the missing peces pretty cheaply. Currently there is a full 10 speed Dura Ace group on eBay for $215 buy it now. You would just need 10 speed compatible wheels.
