Greeting from the Green Island

introductions are in order.
I ride long distance on a racing bike, but dont race
I Also ride tandem with herself, and we've been rising along the Danube and Rhine among other German rivers. (Wonderful by the way).
Frequently I do more mileage on the bikes than I do on the car or motorbike.
The island (Ireland) is green because it rains. So I'm used to cycling in the rain. Dont like it, but can do occasionally.

I've sailed to your island, and yes, it is green! (We steered for Fastnet Rack, landed in Baltimore and poked around the coast to Cork.) Landed in August, so we didn't see much rain, but saw lots of evidence of it.
