Hello

Hello from the gulf coast of Florida.

I ride and run. Occasionally a 10k, last year a half marathon. Would do triathlons, but swimming has been a hurdle. I cycle to work occasionally. Not a morning person or it would be daily.

I have a Trek 1.2, a Trek Domane 4.0, a Trek Xcaliber 7 and a Bontrager BMX bike. My favorite brand is of course Cannondale, but mostly because they made a motorcycle.

I ride mostly the Pinellas Trail, but occasionally with the St Pete Bicycle club and to work. Not a bicycle snob. A mechanical engineer and aware that component weight is not the main factor keeping my average speed low.

John

Welcome to the forums!? Do you enjoy the Trek 1.2? I was thinking of buying the 1.1 but am torn between many bikes! Enjoy the forums!

I used to live in Tampa when I was a kid.
We'd cross over the bridge to get to the beaches.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I like the trek 1.2 a lot. I'm actually slightly faster on it than on the domane. Probably tires and riding position. I think the difference to the 1.1 is carbon forks. It's been a decent machine for several thousand miles.

Just across the bay from Tampa. Great area for riding. Tourists and seniors keep it interesting.
