I havent owned a bike for a long time

I shopped and i decided this one had most of what i wanted

i would like feedback on what a more serious biker would upgrade

Looks like a good bike, but you haven't said what type of bike you want.

For a flat bar bike, it's great, with the added bonus of discs & tubeless compatible wheels.

Ride it for a bit, then work out what if anything you need to change.

hi thanks

yes i really had a tough choice between this one and the more expensive one with 2 x 11 and avid mechanical brakes.

because i weigh 240, and i plan to use this bike for camping and postmates it will have a lot of weight on it. the flat bar part sort of was forced into the mix because i wanted to have hydrolic brakes.
I bought bar ends before i even have the bike which gets here tuesday, I got a grip shifter too not even sure if i will ever install it

ya well it was also a tough choice to get away from a shock fork too because one with all the same stuff can have a shock fork. but I know i dont want the mountain bike geometry so i figure it would be easier to add the fork to this bike if i ever want it.

ya i really wanted tubeless tires regardless. im not postive if it comes with tubes or already converted to tubeless. it comes with tubeless rims and tires, but it could have a tube in it and needs tape and valves. not sure yet comes on tuesday.

the sram part was forced with the model, but the more i read about it the more i like it so i went for it.

I already did buy it

I had a really tough time not getting this one

because it seems like a better value. but i actually dont want the forks I just remember owning a mountain bike and never unlocking the forks for years.

and then this one

seems like it is more up to date with whats new but isnt as good a value. I went by my friends advice that because i weigh 240 with added gear i need the triple and the hydolic brakes and its hundreds less even. so at that point i think i got the best one.

Welcome to the forums. The one thing about the MB bikes is that the seats sucks. You may want to upgrade that if you don't find it comfortable. I bought a BD mountain bike with the same seat and it is horrible.

Good luck.

thanks i have heard that same thing before.
