New guy from NW Minnesota

I am new here, I live in NW Minn. about 50 miles south of Manitoba and 40 miles east of North Dakota.

Pretty flat country here. I recently bought a Trek 7.2FX. My first real bike and my first bike since high school. Old bike was a Gambles hardware store Hiawatha 10 speed.

I have been reading a lot as a guest and am learning alot. Last weekend i managed to ride from Oslo, MN. to Red Lake Mn. over two days. About 120 miles. I survived. And actually had a lot of fun.

Welcome to Bike Forums. You much be tough if you can ride 120 miles on a 7.2FX.

I probably don't know any better. It was over last weekend, my legs didn't really start to ache until Tuesday, and I can still feel the tightness in them. Its the best bike I have every owned but my last bike was purchased in the 1970s!!!!!

If I continue to put on miles and learn more I will be happy to upgrade if needed.

welcome to the forums... the FX is not that hard to ride miles on...my wife rides an FX 7.5 as one of her bikes...it is her favorite bike for mup's and rough roads...though for good road conditions and longer rides she will use her CF road bike.
