Hi everyone,
Live in the UK and tend to prefer pre-1950's bikes. The UK has millions of old bikes sitting in millions of garages, neglected and rusting away. Many of the 1930 to early 1960 bikes used a significant chrome additive in their frame steel so there is very little rust where it is critical. Before and after this period the lack of chrome in the steel alloy tends to cause deep rust that requires considerably more effort to strip and refurb.

I tend to pimp my bike frames so some of you might throw up - I apologize in advance. I keep the old cables, group-set, seats, bars etc. to bring some balance back to the vintage of the bike as a whole.

Welcome to Bike Forums. I don't see any attachments. How are you trying to post pics?
