Hi from AZ

I have been away from riding for about 25 years. Now I'm about 60 pounds over where I should be and some injuries that prevent weight lifting anymore.
My son bought a bike a few weeks ago and I started missing the bike I had 25 years ago. Going to look at a Raleigh Olympian Saturday and hoping to start riding in a couple weeks after a good cleaning and a tune up.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Cycling's a great low impact exercise.

Welcome aboard, you'll have lots of company here, many of us cycle to manage our weight or to lose the unneeded pounds we accumulate. Check out the Clydesdale and Athena Forum Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Bike Forums

Its a good place to get encouragement and ideas about weight loss and control, as well as using cycling as a part of this life changing experience.

Thanks. I'll check that one out. I also qualify for the "seasoned" riders forum also which I have been reading. Great information here.
