Hello from Brooklyn, NY

Hello everyone and happy to be back on a bicycle!
Need some advice and\or opinions on a few bikes.
I'm 48, 230lbs, 6'2 tall, looking for a bike which will give a comfy ride so I can ride longer and lose some weight.
My current bike which I am retiring is a 1993 Iron Horse AT 200

Right now looking at either
Fuji Tread 1.1 Disc Road Bike - 2016
or
Jamis RENEGADE EXPAT 2017

Both bikes are right at my upper budget level.
I like the Shimano 105 on the Fuji.
I believe Jamis 520 chromoly frame may provide a smoother ride and 36mm\40mm tires with 32H spoke rims is + to me.
Most riding will be done on Brooklyn streets (maybe some hard dirt paths) so that's why looking for a Gravel bike with wider tires to help cushion the bumps.

Thank you,
Vadim

Welcome to Bike Forums Vadim.

But seeing that this is the Introductions forum, you aren't likely to get many responses to your inquiry here. I suggest posting your question in our General Cycling forum. General Cycling Discussion - Bike Forums

I prefer a steel frame but both Jamis and Fujji are great values. You can't go wrong with either.
