Welcome to Bike Forums. This is the Introductions forum. Why not post info about your ride and route in the General Cycling Discussion. You'll get lots of replies. Have fun.

I agree with you there! Hoping to reach some who are willing to learn sustainable practices and decision making, such as cycling as transportation. Australia is quite the country and I hope to come back at some point! Thanks for the reply.

Hello and good luck on your journey. This is representative of the visibility that the sustainable living movement needs. Make sure you contact the local news channels of the towns you visit.

I'm curious about what else you'll be championing with your message of sustainability...

Will be riding from Rhode Island to Virginia and westbound to San Francisco along Trans America, possible veer south on Route 66 toward New Mexico and Grand Canyon.

You know.. a member here had 3 weeks off and he lived in Connecticut. He posted here asking suggestions on where he should go. Many of us said "come visit me!" So what did he do? He threw his bike into the back of his car and drove from state to state, hooking up with members here. Some places he stayed on their couch and they took him on their favorite ride, fed him a meal and then the next day he drove to the next state. He had a blast! Maybe if you do something like that, you'll be able to meet new people all across the US!

Thank you! I did make it to San Francisco about a week ago! Thank you for all of your support and well thoughts. Check out Cycle for One Planet facebook page for more updates. It was a successful tour to say the least and am very excited on future opportunities.
