Hi All....

I am a lifetime rider, did the AIDS Lifecycle (SF to LA) 2 times as a rider, once as roady-support. Been riding a Stromer ST1 Platinum for a couple years and love it. Did Team Bike challenge a couple times on a rebuilt '73 Raleigh frame, once finished number 7 in San Francisco, not bad for a 65 year old. Had to ride 1100 miles for that in May - every day over 20, sometimes 80.

I love tinkering and trying different combinations of gearing, but have settled into triple chain rings and 9 speed rear, rapid rise.

Been reading these forums for years but am now hoping someone can tell me the inside scoop on Stromer interface codes. Who knows what next?

Welcome Pikewich, I love the whole gearing thing as well, it's the real guts of a bike. There is a fashion these days of going to single chainrings but I haven't bought into it, I run doubles and triples and love the versatility and the challenge of developing smooth changeovers.

Hi Pikewich, sounds like you've done some serious riding in your day. Which years did you participate in the AIDS/Lifecycle?

Hi All,

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. I am definitely 50+

It looks like I rode AIDS Lifecycle in 2008, and 2009. Was on Trafic detail 2010. You?
