New Member, Ramius... Hello to all!

Hello to all!

I'm Ramius, and live in Mt. Airy, NC- sometimes called 'Mayberry' as it is the home town of Andy Griffith, of the 60's TV Show fame. I'm 46 years old, and rediscovered bicycles about 7 years ago- and couldn't believe what had happened since I'd last rode my 'J.C. Penny 10-speed' at age 16.... Like most young'uns I forgot how to pedal when I got a drivers license...

I generally ride the New River Trail, in Galax Va. It's a rail trail, and allows me to ride for hours without killing myself. I have asthma and climbing hills is not easy for me, although on good days I can manage it. (We have lots of hills here at the bottom of the mountains!)

Typically I ride my Trek 7000 at least 1-2 times a week, and a good ride with the wife on our Tandem. Be good and I'll show you our wedding picture- taken on our restored Schwinn Tandem!

Look forward to meeting you all-

Ramius.

Welcome, Ramus. I have ridden the New River Trail a few times. Usually, my wife and I will spend a few days each year up there riding the New River and the Virginia Creeper.
