Hello from Fremont, CA
Hi All,
I just joined and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Perry and I'm from Fremont which is just north of San Jose, CA. I currently own two bikes, a Specialized Roubaix Comp which has been heavily upgraded to full Dura Ace (9-speed) with the exception of the crank which is FSA carbon and an FSA ceramic bearing bottom bracket. I also upgraded the brakes to Dura-Ace 10-speed, the wheels to Bontrager Race X-Lite aero, the stem and bars to S-Works carbon as well as a few other minor things here and there. I built it new and have done all of the work myself as I am an excellent mechanic (I used to own a bike shop and was the best mechanic around).
My mountain bike is a Specialized S-Works Enduro which is full Shimano XTR including the hydraulic brakes and is completely original. It is way beyond my capabilities but I do love it.
I find that I'm not really riding the Roubaix much anymore and mostly riding the Enduro up in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I may be selling the Roubaix which is, essentially, perfect in every way with not a single nick or scratch and probably has less than 150 miles on it and still has the original tires. The drive train is precise and smooth as silk. It's a size 56.
Anyway, thank you for reading my post and thank you for all of the great posts everyone has put up!
