Hello from Michigan!

I'm from the mid Michigan area and have always been a fan of casual trail riding. Luckilyy for me the town of Greenville actually has a dedicated intermediate mtb course! I'm no pro but I have seen pics of children on the course, so I think I'll be ok lol.

The current trails I ride are basically just mt pleasent college town college student made hiking trails and they are surprisingly extensive. Every time I think I have riden them all a new one shows up and often cross very treacherous terrain and lead to very remote areas.... there is one trail that i jave seen foot prints and bike tread at the begining of that just leads strsight out into the swamp and tjers are so steep you almost nees to grab ahold of the roots to climb them. the length paranoid university students will go to smoke their weed without getting caught I guess.

I ride a dual suspension Wal-Mart bike... yes I know get a real bike right? Well I am far from rich. Gotta eat! But my 21 speed 6061 aluminum dual suspension wally world bike can take anything I throw at it. Maybe my mind will change, who knows!

I have actually put off joining this community for a while based on how people with cheap bikes are treated, but screw it. I'm here, I'm cheap, and I'm ready to ride. Hell, I ride all day in jeans and work boots, but to be fair I decided to do that for maximum brush and foot protection and not entirely because I'm too cheap.

I'm glad I have finally decided to become part of this community after coming here many times as a guest to research various topics!

Oberon! Bess summer beer there is. I wish they made it year round.

Welcome, Elcheapo. Thank you for joining the community! I have spent many moons riding the sandy trails through the pine forests on cheap bikes back in the days. Mostly on the Huron side and U.P. I agree the snobbery can be offputting at times but, hey, it's the internet!
