Hello from California

Hello everyone,
I've only been riding a bike for about 4 years total (late bloomer you see) much of which was spent on a heavy single speed beach cruiser in the California summers no less. I recently got back in to cycling, after a few years break, as a hobby and a way to get some exercise. I have since gotten rid of the heavy cruiser and traded it in for a lighter road bike, which I enjoy much more.

My main interests lie in vintage road bikes and the sport of bicycle racing. I also enjoy working on my bikes and I hope I can learn from the master vintage mechanics that inhabit this forum. Hopefully, I'll be able to pass on some knowledge as I go along as well.

I currently ride:
'85 Nishiki Sport (upgraded to a modern Shimano 12 speed drivetrain)
'72 Peugeot U-08 (Made in to a cruiser by the original owner and in great condition, currently being worked on)
'83 Univega Gran Preimo (All original, except for a Campagnolo Ypsilon rear rim. Needs some restoration but I'm looking forward to getting an old chromoly bike back on the road)

Thanks for reading,
-C.J.

Hey CJ,

I used to own a '72 Peugeot U-08 as well. Great bike. Welcome.
